A New Season For Pastors With A Builder’s Mindset
Across Canada, faith communities are sitting on significant assets and unrealized potential. Church buildings sit half-empty. Parking lots and underused land are waiting to be transformed into housing, community hubs, and sustainable revenue.
Our work is to help those faith communities reimagine what is possible, then walk with them through the long, complicated work of change. We have a proven system for helping churches and non-profits turn land and buildings into long term impact and sustainable income. It works, it is profitable, and most importantly, it strengthens mission rather than replaces it.
Now we are looking for the right kind of partner to help us grow that work across Canada.
This is not a job posting. It is a signal. We are searching for a particular kind of leader.
Who You Are
You are likely an existing or recent pastor. You understand boards, councils, congregational dynamics, and how decisions really get made in faith based organizations.
At the same time, you have a strong business track record. Ideally, you have:
Experience in real estate, construction, development, or property management
Managed capital projects, renovations, or building campaigns
Worked with architects, planners, engineers, lenders, or developers
Comfort with spreadsheets, timelines, and financial modeling
You are:
Driven. You like to see ideas turn into real projects that make a difference and change lives.
Curious. You ask good questions and you keep digging until you understand the full picture.
Adaptable. You can sit with a church board one day and a foundation the next and an architect the day after.
Relational. You know how to build trust over time, especially in environments where people are cautious and change is emotional.
You are at least sympathetic to faith based organizations. Ideally, you are fluent in some of their practices, their language, and their pain points.
What We Actually Do
In simple terms, we help churches and non-profits answer three big questions:
What is our mission in this place right now?
Given the desire for impact and sustainability, what is the best use of our land, buildings, and financial assets?
How do we get from here to there in a way that is faithful to who we are?
In practice, that looks like:
Walking alongside boards, elders, and committees through discernment and decision making
Coordinating engagement and feasibility studies, concept planning, and financial pro-formas
Working with professionals in planning, construction, and development
Helping faith communities negotiate partnerships that align with their values
Designing models that are both impactful and profitable, so the ministry can thrive long term
Our systems and methods are built from real projects with real congregations. They are structured, repeatable, and tested in the Canadian context.
How You Would Fit In
We are not looking for someone to slot into a narrow role. We are looking for a collaborator who wants to grow with us in your local context.
As part of our team, you would:
Build relationships with churches, denominations, and networks
Lead or support projects in specific regions in Canada
Help translate our framework into local realities and opportunities
Learn and apply our playbook for advancing partnerships, church property redevelopment, and social purpose real estate
Contribute your own expertise in construction, development, or business
If you have ever thought, “There has to be a better way for churches to use their land and buildings,” this is the kind of work where you can prove that instinct right.
Training, Support, And A Proven System
You do not need to have all the answers on day one. You do need to bring the right mix of experience, character, relastionships, and appetite for learning.
We bring:
A proven methodology for helping faith communities move from idea to executable plan
Templates, tools, and processes that keep projects on track
Training, coaching, and real-time peer support from people who have already been doing this work
A growing ecosystem of partners across Canada
Our commitment is to train you in our systems, share what we have learned the hard way, and set you up to succeed in your region.
Your commitment is to show up with integrity, persistence, and a willingness to hold both ministry and money in the same conversation.
Why This Matters
This is work that shows up in real places.
Church properties become affordable housing, community hubs, and childcare spaces.
Neighbourhoods gain places of belonging, support, and stability.
Small congregations find new life by aligning their assets with their calling.
Ministries become more financially resilient instead of slowly declining.
If you are a pastor, deacon, chaplain, etc. with a business background, especially in real estate, construction, or development, you already know how rare this combination is. You also know how badly it is needed.
Interested In A Conversation?
If you are reading this and feeling a tug, we should talk.
We are not posting a formal job description. We are not asking for a polished resume. We want a conversation with the right kind of person.
You might be:
A current pastor wondering about your own land development and then the next chapter that still serves the church
A former pastor now working in business or real estate who misses mission-driven work
A leader in construction or development who cares about faith communities and social impact
If that is you, reach out. Tell us where you are, what you have done, and why this kind of work interests you.
No pressure. No hard sell. Just an honest conversation about whether our proven systems and your unique experience could come together to grow something important in Canada.
